i picked this picture because this is me being me. Going outside showing the hard body i worked on to achieve these past few years. i love what i do and who i am i express my body a lot even though i get a lot of people who don't like it but i don't pay mind to them. i just want to have fun and hopefully motivate others to go out and find a hobby and be the best in it.
Cindy sherman was a very influential person in the 70's. She expressed who she was and how other women could be by her photos. Its like different people who have a different story to their own back ground. It makes you wonder how you could turn out to be if things were different in your life.
I think tthe main idea of cindy sherman work was the different personalities she has when she made a self portrait
Janis from the gallery was inspired by cindy sherman as we can tell from her art work. she incorporated cindy sherman thought but made it into her own style with the wonder women, medusa etc. janis as she mention started doing art late in her life but as i looked through her photos i can tell that she loves herself and who she has become. She also wants to take what she has learned from cindy sherman and bring it into her own style.
