For this week’s selfie I took inspiration from Sophie Calles project The Hotel. For this series Sophie Calle worked as a hotel mail in a Venice pensione. She wanted to investigate the lives of strangers through their possessions and habits. I like the idea that she gets so intimate with a person by just seeing how they live. Similarly, for my selfie, which is my room, I feel people can get a good idea of the type of person I am. It reflects a part of me that isn’t seen when I am walking around in the street or sitting in class.
